Skull Crawler

A realistic Skull Crawler for Joschua Knuppe's speculative evolution contest. Mine is based on a rhamphorhynchid pterosaur (hence the tail) that has become terrestrial, utilizing it's light weight to grow large and thrive on the recently discovered Skull Island. In the movie you can see a Skull Crawler has what seem to be papillae; this is not the case. This animal has teeth that angle inward hidden within the bill, which, coupled with replacement teeth look like a turtle's papillae. The fourth digit in the hand has attacked itself to the metacarpals of the hand to form what becomes the lower leg.
